Get in the competition of the annual Buckeye
Barbeque Qlub Steak Cook-off event! This event
is open to all members of OSU BBQ. Rules and
regulations will be posted two weeks before the
competition.
In the past, the steaks have been judged by local
chefs from City BBQ
and Campus Dining, along with Player of the Year,
Evan Turner,
judging at last year's competition! Which OSU
celebrity will be at this event? Only OSU BBQ
members will find out!
Don't want to participate in the competition? No
problem! We encourage all of our members to come to
the event and participate in all of the other
festivities! Our grill team will be serving up
hamburgers and hot dogs for all of those who are in
attendance at the event!
Come on out for some delicious feasting, and get in
the Pong Tournament! Entries for the
tournament will be signed up at the door as a first
come, first serve basis. So make sure you get
to the event at 5:00pm to get your team registered!
Winners will get gift certificates to
City
BBQ, and free entry into the
Spring
BBQ Formal for the people of the winning team,
and their dates!

Email us at osubbq@osubbq.com if you want to be in the competition at the upcoming OSUBBQ event - "Steak Cook-off". We want to see you there and judge your skills on the grill! The winners will be rewarded well!
::Competition Details::
If you would like to enter the steak competition, send an email to
osubbq@osubbq.com. The entry fee is $2.00 to help cover the costs of all the steaks.
After receiving the confirmation email about being entered into the competition, you are to pick up your steak 24 hours before the competition at the BBQ House (1988 Iuka Avenue). Pick up times are between 4:00pm and 6:00pm at the BBQ House. If you need to schedule a different time to pick it up, email us at osubbq@osubbq.com by Wednesday May 5th at 9:00pm with your times of availability.
On the day of the competition, you must check in with the same steak that you picked up at 4:30pm at the check in table. Failure to check in will result in disqualification from the event. After check-in, your steak will be stored in the refrigerators at the house until the round prior to the contestant being on the grill. At that time, you will receive your steak and prepare to grill.
When your round begins, you will be giving 20 minutes to grill your steak to the perfection that you desire. You will be giving a grill, tongs, and a grill brush for your competition.
